Good thing this isn't about cinematics.

Their cinematics are made in maya but ingame assets are processed in 3ds max.

That's what I've been hearing, anyway.

Here's some new video footage.

StarCraft 2 - Videoanteprima

These are from Gamescom 09.

The two GT videos aren't anything special, just some noobs in the start of a game. You do get to see the new zerg morph animation in action, though.

You can skip to 30 seconds in on the pooptube video, which seems to be foreign coverage of the single player. Has firebats and stuff.

Wow.  To think this is just a taste of the full campaign, I'm impressed.  The descriptions in the past don't do it justice, compared to seeing them in action.  Seeing the old units like the medics and firebats was nostalgic.  Watching the lava rise and fall while the little critters burrowed and unburrowed was very nice.  Watching the Hyperion decimate everything underneath made me smile.  Watching those stone zealots suddenly come to life and incinerate the marines had a nice wtf feel.  And I'm happy to hear Robert Clotworthy's voice once more.  Raynor just sounds like, well, Raynor with his voice.  The actor they tried to use initially, I probably could've lived with if not for the accent.  I'm all the more enthused to buy this... whenever it comes out.
Crap, dung, and everything that stands alone...

That announcer sounds like he used to work soccer matches at the rate he was going.  I think he was actually talking faster than the guys who announce Korean matches.

I'm not one to typically enjoy campaigns. But I'm actually looking forward to this one. Judging by the tutorial videos and stuff, it looks like that they may actually try to make it difficult. At least, I hope so.

All of the old units already existing means making AO2 will be fairly easy in that regard, too. Since I planned to restore the vanilla races and throw in some modified sc2 stuff as late-game tech. I was worried they wouldn't update the old stuff to keep up with the current in terms of model art but I see that's being covered.

Yeah, but but from what I hear the difficulty levels are for the most part just going to increase the number of units and their health/damage at higher difficulties. I'd rather be faced with a challenging situation than simply been given an arbitrary numerical handicap.

Actually the entire scoop was that the higher skill levels dont only add units but are also playing at max AI. Still you might be able to easily beat it I dunno.

Most computers except Mesk's ridiculous AIs are easily beatable with walling off, defending expansion and massing Carriers and/or BCs.

What if the AI in SC2 is capable of the same thing?
Now with 50% more lol, 50% more win, and 100% phlail.
