Mafia in Space (GAME OVER)
SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED.
In the distant future, mankind has spread out into space and settled countless numbers of planets. He also discovered that he was not alone. Many of the alien races they met were all quite peaceable, and it wasn't long before an alliance was formed between man and the aliens. It was called the Grand Union of Lifeforms, or GUL for short.
However, there was an extraterrestrial race that sought supreme control of the galaxy. They were the Arkons, and they possessed powerful technology, easily comparable to that of the GUL. War broke out, and for many decades the two sides have relentlessly fought each other.
In the midst of all the devastation, a simple GUL cargo freighter makes its way through space. It is designated the Shyndora. Halfway to its intended destination, the captain is suddenly found dead in his cabin, lying peacefully on his bed. His final log reads: "Received warning. Arkons onboard. Intent: infiltration of GUL space. Must find infiltrators as soon as possible."
As the crew recovers from the shock, a thought soon dawns upon them: will they be next? And who among them is an Infiltrator? Answers must be found, and quickly, before they all wind up dead.
Welcome to Mafia in Space.
RULES
I. Phases
There is a 72-hour day cycle and a 24-hour night cycle. Game starts on a night cycle. Night ends when everyone has submitted their targets or time runs out. Day ends when all lynch votes are cast or time runs out.
II. Roles
There are five roles in this game:
1. Arkon Infiltrator: There will be 2-3 Infiltrators. Each night, they decide to kill 1 person on the Shyndora. They are allowed to communicate with each other by whatever means they desire.
2. Mentis Telepath: There will be 1-2 Telepaths. They are part of the GUL and each night cycle they can read a crew member's mind to find out who that person truly is.
3. Bioran Healer: There will be 1-2 Healers. They are part of the GUL and each night cycle they can pick someone to revive should they be targeted that night by the Infiltrators. (Fancy way of saying they're protected.)
4. Terran Officer There is only 1 officer. He/she is part of the GUL and during the day cycle he can secretly PM the gamemaster to nullify someone's lynch vote.
5. Innocent Crewmember: You just exist. For now...
III. Voting
Each day, the crew of the Shyndora will vote to jettison someone out of the airlock. There are three voting options:
1. Lynch
2. No Lynch (Must be the majority vote to be viable.)
3. Abstain (Abstain does NOT equal No Lynch. It is treated as if you never voted at all.)
Also, all votes must be placed in bold, and once done so, those votes are final.
Just a few final notes: keep discussions inside the forum thread. PMs are only necessary for sending targets to the gamemaster (unless you're an Infiltrator). You can roleplay as much as you wish, but it isn't necessary if you don't want to do it.
As gamemaster, I reserve the right to change things as I see fit (mostly it will only be if something comes up that I didn't anticipate).
And now, sign-ups are CLOSED.

Re: Mafia in Space (Sign-Ups OPEN)
Just to make sure, does 'No Lynch' mean I don't want to lynch anyone, or I don't want to lynch a certain player?

I believe you mean you don't want anyone lynched, being the proper way to say it.Saint_Kerrigan wrote: @ Wedge: It means you don't want to lynch anyone at all that day.
