Lots of new ones lately, I've been trying them out, but I don't like most of them.  I try to give em all a chance and at least watch a full episode, but most are just generic stories with generic characters.  Animes or any kind of story based media that appeal to me are the ones that have interesting characters.  Creating a storyline is easy.  Creating good characters is the real task in my opinion.

Of this new batch of anime, I've tried Pandora Hearts as well.  I've watched a few episodes... and I'm not really sure what to think yet.  Kind of interesting, but it's not exactly grabbing me.  Perhaps exactly for the reason you just said... the characters doesn't seem anything special.

Been watching the new Full Metal Alchemist as well.  It seems rushed, probably because I'm used to the pacing of the other anime, but at the same time it's still fun to watch again.  I'm looking forward to when they get to the parts of the manga that weren't in the last series... since some pretty cool stuff goes down.
