The dawn of the last book is near....this will be the last of the "goods" custom campaigns for WC3.

I also had to remove my idea for the extra mission because for some reason it kept crashing the game. It wasn't that important, but since I removed it I probably can trim out all the files associated with it.
Can I freely distribute your campaign to map making sites?

Re: Wanderers of Sorceria Dedicated Update Thread
Having already played through the entire thing from start to finish once, I'd have to say I'm really displeased at Abolisher's role is in the campaign. It's not that he doesn't do much-- he actually does a lot-- the dialogue I gave him is pretty crappy of the "I could tell you, but I won't" variety (which I suppose is part of the problem with doing some of the stuff out of order-- he would still withhold information even after you already learned it, for instance). Going to have to fix that.
I already decided I had to nerf one of the special items which had life leeching on it; it was far too powerful when you combined it with the damage output some of the Heroes were putting out.
Not to mention, some of the other bosses also seemed a lot easier when you actually picked up some decent items. I'm not sure if I should make them harder or leave them alone. I also made Death Coil and Holy Light self-castable late in the design stages, which made one boss manageable and one way too easy.

I look forward to the next chapter very much, keep up the good work! (This chapter marks the end of the Wanderers of Sorceria series, right? Or are you planning on continuing it in some way?)

I did toy with one idea, but considering how long even this is taking me, I don't think so.Xeth-Ban wrote: I look forward to the next chapter very much, keep up the good work! (This chapter marks the end of the Wanderers of Sorceria series, right? Or are you planning on continuing it in some way?)

Maybe you can continue the saga if you want as a mod of another game.RazorclawX wrote: I did toy with one idea, but considering how long even this is taking me, I don't think so.
But the story is already long in my opinion, and it needs a decent conclusion.
I would like to see a trailer of the 6th book,do you think it will be possible for you to make one?

Re: Wanderers of Sorceria Dedicated Update Thread
The idea I was toying with was perhaps showing the adventures of the ten Heroes of Pentawa-- going on random adventures and eventually end with Darm becoming the Lord of Sorceria. Then I came to the realization that I only really developed four of them that I thought were interesting: Papa, Zule, Dalles, and Ingram-- Azorbia is a cookie-cutter loser, Darm and Rhea aren't that interesting, and the rest don't really exist as actual characters.Larc wrote:Maybe you can continue the saga if you want as a mod of another game.RazorclawX wrote: I did toy with one idea, but considering how long even this is taking me, I don't think so.

(I know none of you know anything about Ingram, but I've been waiting to use him for a long time. He's like Odysseus if you've met him during his years of exile)
Of course, being that I play a metagame with the story, I also left myself room to keep going. For the most part, WoS is about the interlinked story among Hikaru, Shizuka, and Kurumi, and most of what pertains to them gets addressed. The secondary characters get their own stories told in their own ways with varying degrees of satisfaction.
I have no idea why you'd want to upload my campaigns to other sites. It's easier to point them here-- because we DON'T have shit like Megaupload or Registration requirements. Use the bandwidth.for the last time, may I or may I not upload your campaigns on other sites?

You can actually develop their profiles, maybe with a sort of fanfiction, which may reveal the unsolved mysteries of the story.RazorclawX wrote: The idea I was toying with was perhaps showing the adventures of the ten Heroes of Pentawa-- going on random adventures and eventually end with Darm becoming the Lord of Sorceria. I need these last 2 clarifications:
1) It's something I've always wondered, there is some kind of benevolent deity in the prison dimension?
2) Purgatory is a sort of mechanical-god (or a super-computer) with an ego and the purpose to keep the prisoners inside if I understood correctly...

1. No, there isn't.Larc wrote: I need these last 2 clarifications:

2. Essentially, yes.

Re: Wanderers of Sorceria Dedicated Update Thread
I'm hoping I can put this out by the end of April. I just have to resist the urge of adding more stuff to it.
I already toyed with the idea of having a Boss Rush mode, but that would be too time consuming (especially since there's 18 of them).
I also had to fix the West District a third time. It's probably the one I least like of the four main areas.
Trimmed down the file size slightly. Removed some music and some art that ended up not getting used. Of course there's still a lot in there that isn't used, or stuff that's used only once.
