Sonic 2 HD

I was browsing the internets this morning when I stumbled upon this project:

Thats right, there is a team remaking Sonic 2 in HD with its own engine, updated graphics and music. I played the tech demo and it looks beautiful so far and perfectly emulates Sonic 2 gameplay. If your a sonic fan I would definitely keep an eye out (or help out!) this project.

Old, but cool. Noticed these guys around a year ago, by now, I believe, on another forum. The work back then was only covering the first level and barely any of the second. Wonder if they've expanded more by now.

Wow! My mouth was literally watering as I saw the tech demo (the downloading took too darn long). I hope that the final product is good!

I still like Sonic 1.  I may have just thought it was like that, but it always seemed way way harder than the other ones.
