I'm back. What did I miss?

Starcraft 2 is announced and a burst of old fans return here.

I've been gone a while. I used to post here sometimes under the name Cyanide. I started visiting this place a before Black Dream came out. Started posting a bit around the time Final Destiny came out. Eventually Warcraft 3 was released. I stuck around a while, but it didn't really grab me and I gradually forgot about this good ol' place.

Now I'm back because of the SC2 announcement and it seems like a lot of things have changed. Some of the old vets are now staff. And a lot of the old staff is gone it seems. TPC? Palin?

Would someone care to give me an update? What happened to everybody and this place since I left?

TPC was the coolest, I'd love for him to return. Yes, it seems theres more interested in sc2 for this community then there was for war3, good for us.

Wc3 was pretty much a failure when it came to "reviving" modding, wasn't it?

I guess it was. I mean project revolution still has bugs and that's been around for forever, right?

Seems Project Revolution and wc3c have been down the past couple days.

Warcraft 3 modding was a failure. Back in the end of the Starcraft days everyone was saying, "Just wait until WC3 comes out, then we'll see some good stuff!" Then that became "Just wait until TFT comes out, it'll be great!" Well nothing happened. The only campaigns I remember were WoS, which was okay, but not really amazing; and Rise of Krill.... no comment.

So Palin is gone? Can't say I'm greatly saddened. I remember when he was admin he once mentioned that TPC did all the work anyway. Did he ever produce anything aside from arguments?

And I miss Palin too.  Even though he was a lame-duck administrator, he believed in CC and fought to get it back online during that incident we've all forgotten and forgiven.

Yecchh, I couldn't stand Palin's attitude, and I think his banning of CampaignCreator was unjustified. I decided during that time that if I actually managed to make a WC3 campaign I would have to host it at SAMods because I had no desire to deal with him.
