I wish I had the "Failure" sound byte from SSB because that would be really appropriate right now.

This loss rests entirely on Praetor RCola's shoulders !!

Re: MAFIA VIIc - PROTOSS MAFIA ROUND 3: AIUR CITY
Though I died every time before the end, I was the only one on the winning side every time.
lol
I was hoping I could break that streak of being killed every time before the win. lol For a moment, I thought I would.
As far as strategy, for the most part we were trying to get rid of the more active people. At least, when I chose any of the targets that's what I did. We were also mostly laying low to avoid suspicion. It pretty much worked, since there were too many other people who weren't giving out information. DoW got lynched when he strayed from that strategy. Heh, if I had thought through my vote more, I would have voted to lynch DoW as well (my original plan), since both him and Frozty were afk at the deadline without voting. I had forgotten about Warrior Man X when I cast my vote, that he would get the final say in the matter after the vote. I wouldn't have even attempted to do the double lynch if I had remembered about that.
And that last vote, I decided to lynch mAc Chaos for reasons other than what I stated. I intentionally accused mAc Chaos, who RCcola had stated that he was a bit suspicious of, in an attempt to sway RCcola's vote by seemingly siding with him.
After it was revealed that Warrior Man X was still alive, we knew we had to try to figure out his identity to win. We would have had one more chance to try on the next night, or be killed in a 1 on 1 with Warrior Man X. Murdermasterx drew attention to himself here when before the final vote came in he suggested Warrior Man X was still alive, when everyone else possibly supposed that he was dead. Looking back at the previous vote, we realized that since he had the final tiebreaker vote that time anyway, he probably just decided not to strike down a vote, in an attempt to catch us off guard the next day.

Re: MAFIA VIIc - PROTOSS MAFIA ROUND 3: AIUR CITY
As a former Praetor, I have to announce that Praetor RCCola is a moron. The one player who would know mAc was innocent besides an Observer, would have known that his push to have DoW executed for being a DT proved true! Towards the end, he could have also used his powers to tell everyone who was who to save mAc and Murder.
This was also the worst played game by many of the players. We had the largest player base, but hardly anyone spoke throughout most of the game. It was awful, especially when the Dark Templar were killing off the few players who were the most outspoken.
Of course, the Dark Templar were right to kill me again. Although my focus was on mAc, I knew Arcan's death was not random, and that Tipereth was the other person who commented on the signature! Is that why you killed me? Because I was so close already?
I was also deceived! The Dark Templar disrupted DoW to make me believe he was innocent. I already suspicioned him, but I just assumed he was innocent until Milldawg told me DTs don't have to use their disruptions on the good guys.
Once again, I picked 3 out of 4 correctly. My final pick came much later, however, because the game didn't pick up until towards the end:
1. mAc Chaos - Oh how wrong I was! I thought mAc was guilty almost towards the end. This is the third time I've read him wrong. I really blew it on this one. I should have put Frozty here, but the fool was silent the whole game!
2. DoW - Suspected his newly revived entrance into the game and subsequent silence for such a prominent speaker. But after the 2nd night (the night I was murdered), I found out he was disrupted by the DT. I put him on the backburner until I asked Milldawg about it when DoW and mAc Chaos were having a showdown.
3. Shadowflare - I immediately agreed with the surviving players that she was the evil one. When the votes started coming in to save DoW, the DT's showed their true face.
4. Tipereth - I was originally going to put Thalraxal here, but when both he and Taeradun died, I knew there was only one T left. Tipereth. Sure enough, he showed his true colors towards the end.
What a sad defeat. Oh well, the Dark Templar rule the galaxy now.
ANNOUNCEMENT
I've spoken with Milldawg, and I will be hosting the next Mafia VIII. There will be two parts to the story! Please decide if you would like to start it this week or wait until after Thanksgiving to give everyone a break. There will be a new theme, different player strategies, and deceptive alliances like you've never seen. I won't tell you what it is yet, but here's a hint of things to come:

I think a brief break may be in order, after four consecutive Mafia games. If you wanted to start now, I'd still join in, but others may want to recharge.

Shadow, as far as strategy, it was like 'Hey, who should we kill now that Mucky and Arcan are dead?'.

You guys think I'm a Dark Templar too much. Is it my avatar?

In RCcola's defense, his internet died for 5 days. But even so, INEXCUSABLE

I didn't think you were, that's why I tried to discourage the vote. But you voted against me and we hadn't found another target and the time ran out.Lavarinth wrote: You guys think I'm a Dark Templar too much. Is it my avatar?
Besides, everyone thought I was a Dark Templar too. The one time I wasn't trying to be sneaky.

Your avatar does look rather fiendish.

You've no right to call anyone's avatar fiendish, Bleck.

lol, before you had even mentioned that to me, I had already noticed his lack of activity and RCcola's afk-ness was being considered as a part of my plans in advance.Milldawg wrote: In RCcola's defense, his internet died for 5 days. But even so, INEXCUSABLE![]()

Re: MAFIA VIIc - PROTOSS MAFIA ROUND 3: AIUR CITY
I was pretty sure mAc was innocent, he was standing out too much to be a DT and I was pretty sure he wasn't going for the strategy that failed abysmally for me last round. On round 1, I was actually pretty sure that AA7 was a Dark Templar. But then he died.
On round 2 though. I wasn't sure if Lav was innocent, and I didn't want to do nothing, so I decided to go with that one. I was wrong, sorry about that Lav. I was pretty sure one of the quieter people was a DT, and DoW really stood out on that. I was tempted to vote against him, but really didn't have much of a case for that, so I decided to wait on that one. And then I died.
I had a gut feeling that Shadowflare and Tip were Dark Templar. Never suspected Frozty though.

The sad part about RCcola voting mAc is that you wouldn't even need any extra information to realize that's a bad decision. If you look back at the votes for DoW and Aekenon, you'd find that DoW was lynched and only one person was killed the next night (RCcola is also the Praetor... go figure) which happened to be Aekenon. Then Shadowflare and Tip start the next day off by voting for mAc, the other person who voted for DoW. Shit, they made no effort to hide themselves.
I think the two-kill deal has been a bit too powerful. It just puts a lot of pressure on the zealots to lynch someone and there's very little chances of that person being a DT, especially in a game as huge as this was.
Also:
omgarcan (10:27:54 PM): i was an arbiter and chose to cloak you instead of myself and now i amd ead
direwolfnotinbed (10:28:17 PM): OWNED
