MAFIA VIIc - PROTOSS MAFIA ROUND 3: AIUR CITY
Round 1 thread: general-discussion/mafia-vii-protoss-mafia/
Round 2 thread: general-discussion/mafia-viib-protoss-mafia-round-2/
The final round of Protoss Mafia is upon us. As everyone's sights turn toward Aiur City, the city prepares its defenses and fine-tunes its technologies, and the Dark Templar develop some technologies of their own. This final conflict will determine the fate of Aiur, and of those Dark Templar who would rise up against their former homeland.
-------------------------
There will be YET MORE new roles added in for this final round, but I won't reveal them until after signups. However, I will say that the Arbiter's Khaydarin Core has been upgraded once again, and that there will probably be two Arbiters this round. And now, some rule updates/improvements/clarifications:
VOTING
Voting will be the same as the previous rounds. Majority rules. Ties between two players result in both dying. Ties between three or more players result in none dying. You may vote "no lynch," but no lynch needs double the number of votes as the highest player in order to win. You may vote "abstain," which counts as a null vote. Votes in boldface are final and cannot be changed.
TIMING/DEADLINES
There will be a COMPLEX SYSTEM of determining deadlines and stuff, but I won't explain exactly how it works because it could be used as evidence. (I just realized this after typing it all up.) But the general idea is: the deadlines will be the same as last game (24 hours night, 48 hours day), but if you have been good about meeting the deadlines, you will be given more leniency with the deadlines, on a player-by-player basis. I will keep track of everything myself, so don't worry too much about it. Just try to stay within the deadlines and I won't have to break your kneecaps.
There were also concerns last round about me ending the round too fast. I have added a safeguard against that for the final round. During the day, if a majority is reached before everyone has voted, I will end the round prematurely, but not until a certain time. That time will be 6 hours per player or 48 hours, whichever is smaller. So if everyone votes quickly on the first day, I will let the 48 hours play out before declaring nightfall. If there are only five players left and three immediately vote the same way, resulting in a guaranteed lynch (OR MAYBE NOT, because you don't know what the new roles are yet), I will wait until 5x6=30 hours have passed before closing the round. So basically, this just means that I won't be able to close a round before everyone has had a reasonable amount of time to talk. For night actions, it's not as important, since there's no discussion, but I'll still wait 3 hours per player or 24 hours, whichever is smaller, before closing early. (That's 3 hours per player regardless of how many players actually have night actions.)
-----------------------------
And now, SIGN UP! The more the merrier, especially since we'll need plenty of people to fill all these fancy new roles!
