All right, we have enough people! And now to explain...THE ROLES.

There will be THREE DARK TEMPLAR. The Dark Templar in this game are evil and murderous, and they kill people at night. They work together, discussing their night targets via PM. They can choose UP TO TWO protoss to kill, as long as all three Dark Templar are still alive. If there are only one or two alive, they can choose UP TO ONE protoss to kill each night.

There will be TWO OBSERVERS. Observers can detect one protoss each night and learn whether or not that protoss is a Dark Templar.

There will be ONE ARBITER. The Arbiter may cloak up to one protoss each night, shielding them from assassination by Dark Templar. HOWEVER, the Arbiter may activate its KHAYDARIN CORE to protect TWO protoss instead. If this option is used, and one of the cloaked protoss is targeted by the Dark Templar, the failed attempt WILL NOT be announced the next day. (This means that only the Dark Templar will know that the target got cloaked, as well as the High Templar - see below). THE ARBITER MAY NOT CLOAK ITSELF this game.

There will be ONE PRAETOR. The Praetor can choose a protoss during the night to grant diplomatic immunity from lynching for the next day. This will not be announced unless the targeted protoss is going to be lynched. The Praetor cannot grant him- or herself diplomatic immunity.

There will be ONE HIGH TEMPLAR. The High Templar is highly attuned to psionic emissions, and will learn of all the night's targets at the end of each night. That is, the High Templar will be told (secretly) who was cloaked, who was detected, who was given diplomatic immunity, and who was targeted for assassination (but not the results of these actions).

There will be FOUR ZEALOTS. Zealots are innocent villagers who desire only the peace and safety of Yellowtown.

I will assign roles randomly and PM them to each player. After I've done so, I'll announce that the round has begun and the first night has fallen. EN TARO ADUN!

ROLES HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED. Those with night roles have until MONDAY 5AM GMT (Sunday night midnight EST) to PM me your targets. This applies to Arbiter, Observers, High Templar, Praetor, and Dark Templar.

REMINDERS: Please DO NOT DISCUSS THE GAME with anyone else. The only discussion that should occur is between Dark Templar, and then only during the night.

Players will have 24 HOURS to PM me their night actions, and 48 HOURS during the day to discuss and VOTE. I will use Midnight EST (GMT-5) as the cutoff point. This means you should be ok as long as you check the forums ONCE A DAY. If someone does not meet the deadline, their actions will be forfeit or they will lose their vote.

You may PM me your actions in advance if you expect to be unable to meet the deadline. I won't do this for voting, though; if you can't check the forums once every 3 days, don't play. Ideally, once a day should be the minimum. The last game dragged on a bit too long and I want to prevent that from happening again.

Then, VOTING. Voting will still be public, because that is the spirit of forum mafia games. But the "abstain" rules have changed. YOU MAY VOTE "NO LYNCH" if you want no one to be lynched, but this result will only be used if it has TWICE AS MANY VOTES as the person with the highest number of votes. For instance, if there are 2 votes for Bob, 1 vote for Chet, and 4 votes for No Lynch, no one will be lynched. But if there are 2 votes for Bob, 1 vote for Chet, and 3 votes for No Lynch, Bob will be lynched. IF YOU HAVE NO OPINION AND WANT TO ABSTAIN FROM VOTING, then just DON'T VOTE AT ALL. Votes in boldface are still considered final votes.

EDIT: Actually, if you choose not to vote at all, that means that the time limit will have to run all the way to expiration before your vote is declared as an abstain. So if you decide not to vote, just say ABSTAIN, which, remember, is different from NO LYNCH. This should help the game to go quicker.

ALL RIGHT SO

After serious thought, I have decided that the Praetor's current role is pretty useless. SO I AM CHANGING IT.

Instead of protecting someone from lynching, the Praetor now LEARNS SOMEONE'S TRUE IDENTITY WHEN THEY DIE. So in the morning, after deaths are announced, the Praetor will be told (secretly) exactly what roles the dead people were. And at the beginning of the night, after someone has been lynched, the Praetor will be told the lynched person's exact role.

I don't understand why the Arbiter's Core would be used. I think.

Well, it increases your chance of saving a life, and perhaps even two if it's a really lucky doc.  May not be able to prove innocence (unless the arbiter's willing to risk his neck), but more people alive means more chances to defeat the enemy.

AA7 has requested that he be allowed to write the deaths for this game, so I will be using the deaths he wrote.

-------------------------

The night was dark.  Frozty and AA7 were patrolling the streets of the settlement.  These Protoss were as close as brothers, always at each other’s side.  But suddenly, AA7'’s eyes began to darken and his countenance changed.  Without warning, he turned on Frozty, killing him swiftly with his psi-blades.  As his mind cleared, he realized what he had just done.  Overcome with grief and guilt, AA7 slew himself with the same psi-blades that had murdered his dearest friend.  AA7 was mind-controlled by the Dark Templar and killed Frozty before killing himself!

(For the lazy: AA7 and Frozty died.)

DAY BREAKS

Day will last until...TUESDAY at 6PM EST (11PM GMT). Any votes not cast by then will be forfeit. Review the voting rules if you have any questions. (I decided not to use midnight as the cutoff in case a cycle ends at a different time, by the way.)

AA7!  We were finally on the same side and then the Dark Templar murder you on the first night of their attack, those fiends!  I swear that they'll pay for this treachery!

(But atleast you get a totally awesome job from beyond the grave)

Right, looking at how things have changed since the Dark Templar attacked Eridun.  Our Arbiter can't cloak itself like the two that were stationed at Eridun, so we've got to make sure that the Dark Templar never finds out who it is.

With a Preator and High Templar around, there's a good chance that some of us won't fall for the same trick that the Dark Templar pulled back on Eridun: when they framed that poor innocent Observer Lavarinth (who was probably not related to our Lavarinth here in Yellowtown) as a Dark Templar.  With a Preator's keen insight, it'll be next to impossible to fool him.  It's going to be a whole lot easier for us to keep track of how many of them are left, and that's going to help us alot.

Assuming we were not unfortunate enough to lose them already to the Dark Templar.
Don't point that camera at me!
