Hmm. King Leoric is back. Some of the new areas look way better than what they showed on announcement. They actually hired a real voice actor for once, too.

I know what class I'm playing now. I dig her short-range spells!
I have seen the Desler. I have tasted of his milk and honey.

Yay Leoric! Not nearly as scary as The Butcher was, but it's always nice to see a familliar face, or rather lack there-of.
With the Sorcereress Wizard, the last obvious class is the ranged fighter à la D1 Rogue, D2 Amazon and WoW Hunter.

No matter how cool it looks, it's still Diablo, meaning it's boring and repetitive as shit.
This game actually looks much darker and scarier than Diablo 2 though, which was a huge disappointment ambient-wise.

Eh, d2 pvp was cool until they fired everyone who had some idea how to balance and design items. I played d2 a lot more competitively than I played sc, that's for sure. I don't know how d3 will shape up, but chances are I'd be playing it a hell of a lot more than sc2.

Re: Wizard: New Diablo 3 class
Meh, when I got into D2 it was a runewordfest already. Most duels ended up being one-hit kills, it was really ridiculous. Sometimes even mercenaries wielding high level runewords managed to kill some players (often in 1 hit).
PvM wasn't fun, either. No teamwork at all, since everyone could solo the game. I hope D3 is much more focused on balanced characters and teamwork.

D3 will be soloable, just like d2 was. If it wasn't then it'd probably be pretty terrible. I'm more curious if the difficulty scaling will do more than just arbitrarily raise monster attributes, though, and if parties will still punish your EXP gain like they did in d2.

Re: Wizard: New Diablo 3 class
Uh, yeah, it would be pretty shitty if D3 wasn't soloable. I mean, that's why I don't want to play WoW. Teamwork is nice, but if I buy a game, I want to be able to play it by myself, too, and not have to rely on my ability to gather up other people, and to play consistently with them, and make sure that I always keep up the pace.
