Hulu - Movies and Shows, Free (and not illegal)

Post by Hercanic »

www.hulu.com

If you don't have cable, or even a TV, but you have a decent internet connection and miss watching movies or various TV shows, this website is your answer.

There are commercials, but it's a small price for a free, on-demand virtual TV. No signup or anything required. It is a US-only service, however, though according to their FAQ they are working to expand worldwide, but they have to clear the rights of each video for every country first. Another price of staying legal.

Yes, it's an awesome site.  I frequent it daily.
I have seen the Desler.  I have tasted of his milk and honey.

Gaining rights takes time. They currently have ~200 full movies and 6,000+ complete TV show episodes.

Oh, quick note: Some movies/shows are only up for a limited time, due to what rights were granted to Hulu, though their main goal is achieving permanent content. Just something to be aware of in case you see anything you want to watch but decide to catch it later. It'll display how many days are left until it expires, so just keep your eyes open.

I know there's a way to bypass the regional thing (I do really want to use this, I don't have access to a TV and illegally acquiring certain TV shows is a serious pain in the ass) using proxies but I can't recall how...
