So what's the point behind your post again? Do you forget the absolutely fucking MASSIVE fanbase Blizzard has? 10 million people play WoW, and many fans of Blizzard do not play WoW. Starcraft to date has sold at least 9.5 million copies. Even half of those people buying SC2 is a shit ton of money. Now if half again of those people bought the expansion it would still be one of the best selling PC games in history. You have no idea what you're talking about, the majority of the community for SC2 will not even know custom campaigns and mods exist; to think that a fan campaign could compete with an official expansion pack released by Blizzard is just retarded.Jadefang wrote: @Wibod: How they could compete with Blizzard expansions? I agree with you that people will buy the game's expansion already because of the modding opportunities and you are right that this may be in some cases the main reason why someone will buy a game. However, in case of SC2, I think this will only be a minor fraction of the buyers.
