I have a pretty simple modding question.
I've just been trying to re-acquaint myself with StarCraft's editor as well as the popular modding programs associated with it. For example, I was trying to take a Zerg Zergling and convert it into a Terran Marine. I was able to easily convert the unit sprite, portrait, sounds, weapon type, stats, etc. just using DatEdit. But I couldn't change the 'profile image.' By profile image, I'm not sure what else to call it, so let me describe it to you.
Say you select a Zergling in game. It's the image that appears right below 'Zerg Zergling' text on the in-game interface. It'd be located in the bottom/center area of the screen, just near a unit's hit points, shields, mana, etc. It's the image that gets redder and redder as the unit is damaged. You know what I'm talking about, right?
Are these files in StarDat somewhere? I'm not sure where to even begin looking.
Another question, what's a good program to simply browse/view the insides of an MPQ file?
Thanks for your time.

For the record, they are known as Wireframes, this might help you.

I guess you have to modify the 3 files found in the unit\wirefram\ folder in Stardat.mpg.
Browse with Winmpq.

Re: Modding Question - Profile image?
Hmm... another question perhaps you can help me with.
When I open StarDat.mpq with WinMPQ, nearly all the files appear as "/~unknowns/unknown_00000fe2" or something of this form. None of the unit files, portrait files, wireframe files are there. Just this ~unknowns directory and then a few basic font files and exe files at the bottom of the list.
Am I missing something obvious, you think? I installed the Visual Basic and Runtime files that ShadowFlare's website recommends.
Why can't I see StarDat?

download the MPQ list file; there's some option in WinMPQ to set it up to use it
