Has anyone heard of this game The Witcher? I was just getting some stuff for school at Target and I stumbled on the video game section and found this for PC, looked interesting so I decided to buy it, around 30-40 bucks matter were you are. Really good playing and has some pretty good graphics. Pretty much you can do alot of stuff in this game, more features than WoW I believe.
It came out last year and I have never heard of it till just recently I was just wondering if anyone else has?

The Witcher has more or less one of the best stories to grace a video game in a long time.

What chapter are you on? I have just started Chapter 4. Sure is a long game but is fun to play. Love the attiude they put into the main character, Geralt and the whole near extinct witcher class.Larc wrote: I'm currently playing it and I love it! I heard it had major translation issues.

I actually kind of got bored with it. I liked the story but it has a lot of repetitive tasks. Dunno, maybe getting sick of MMORPGs has translated to this kind of game as well.

Curently in Chapter III - The Unforgiven (on Medium Difficulty)Marine 382BB wrote:What chapter are you on? I have just started Chapter 4. Sure is a long game but is fun to play. Yes,it's a long game (100+ hours including the sidequests)
The only annoying thing are the loading times, that are numerous and painful. I'd rather play this on the 360.

Those were fixed in the first patch.Lavarinth wrote: I heard it had major translation issues.
For those playing the game the first novel in the book series is being released in September and the short story collection has already been released.

I wish the loading screens were limited like WoWs were, and they are so long though.Larc wrote:Curently in Chapter III - The Unforgiven (on Medium Difficulty)Marine 382BB wrote:What chapter are you on? Yeah I just finished Chap. 3, at first they are kind of boring but at the end of chapters they finally get very interesting because now you are once again on the Salamandra's trail.

Yep- One can only handle so many different games that make them not sleep before saying "screw it."Desler wrote: I actually kind of got bored with it. I liked the story but it has a lot of repetitive tasks. Dunno, maybe getting sick of MMORPGs has translated to this kind of game as well.

Well I just beat the game now, great game awesome in fact. The ending video was great especially with the little sword fight they had. I still want to know who he killed. I hope a sequel maybe.

If it wasn't for the instability I probably would have played it more but I liked what I did play.

I found it moderately stable. Maybe I'll pick it up again, but its been like 6 months, so I guess I'll just have to start again. Maybe I can tolerate it with a bit more patience.

Re: Has anyone else played the game "The Witcher"?
At first I thought it was going to weird and (slightly)immature due to all the swaring and the sex I didnt see a story at first I just thought Grand Theft Auto for the medieval days, but after playing through the prologue and chapter 1 the story developed graetly and I really enjoyed it.
