Dark Swarm Episode II Synopsis

Hey all,

Dark Swarm is the title of my Starcraft Mini-Campaign Competition Campaign (erm.. yeah) and it was finished  about 2 months ago. It tells the tale of the Swarm before Starcraft vanilla.

There will be no Episode II, since I've moved on to a Starcraft 2 project. However, I don't want the story to remain untold, so I present to thee Episode II Synopsis Part I.

Heh, glad you liked my campaign then! I had a lot of great ideas about it, but ultimately, it comes down to the discipline you need to finish it.

Hi Legion,

I read your synopsis in a way "with one auspicious, and one dropping eye" for having the chance read the continuation of your plot, and at the same time sad that I could not play it. But, I can hear you. SC2 got announced and glooms on the horizon, and the brief SC1 revival rush nourished by the huge anticipation for SC2 has unquestioningly begun to fade. 

As for your campaign story, I liked it, what else could you expect. I have a strong feeling that the "prophet" will later somehow double-cross the player cerebrate and Sterling in part II. Treachery is a lead theme of the Zerg, if not in all of SC.

I think I will direct my own custom work towards SC2 as well and maybe do some storyboarding, as well as video and voice recordings.

Aw, I was looking forward to Dark Swarm II.

Nice to see a synopsis though.  I'm guessing that 'Part 1' is what would have been the first mission of the campaign.

Why this occurs with many of the best campaigns? EDAST, Celestial irruption, The Hammerhead Project, Reclamation of Aiur... all of them cancelled or unfinished. And now, Dark Swarm.

Well, I hope that someday you change your mind, and you decide to do the second part of the campaign, Legion. Good luck with your SC2 project.

Don't worry, I haven't forsaken the project, I'm just not in the mood to continue mapping for it for a while.

Dark Swarm was meant to be my entry for the contest, but I sure didn't expect people to dig it as much as they apparently do.
