Rain of Fire not destroying trees?

I'm in the map with Kanna + Shion in book 4, and Shion's Rain of Fire just won't destroy trees which obviously makes the map impossible. TFT 1.21b if that makes any difference and I think I downloaded the campaign a long (looong) time ago. Has it been updated in recent times?

Oh!! You can force-attack them. Just randomly found that out due to a misclick... Well, at least the information is here now for those that are stuck and stupid like me too now :)
