Book 5 - Tribes mission (crash)

Post by Hatori-san »

I've encountered an critical error several times in that mission. Since there are about 7-9 bases on that map, the error returns after a more or less fixed time. I'm now stuck at the orc-base. As soon I destroy the outpost...

"Critical Error [...]
[...]
[...]
Not enough space available (or alike)."

The crash seems to be the result of all those effects and large number of allies/enemys, stored as space. There's only 1 solution for me to win that mission without fixing it: either whosyourdaddy or an instant win. But that would ruin the fun.

I'm sure you know about that error. I've used google, forum-search here and others etc. but no helpful result  :-\. My Warcraft-drive has 10,1 GB left. However, C: (aka Windows) only 1,21 GB. Is the error pointing at C:? I'm not experienced in that.

No, actually, I've never seen that happen on that level before.

1. Would anything game-breaking happen if I use the instant-win cheat?
2. If yes, could I overcome the mission if I send the save-file to someone, who hasn't encountered this problem?

Kind of sad if this is unfixable.

or alterntavly, install wc3 and frozen throne on a differnt folder with more space?

well, im no program nor computer expert, but by the looks of it, i'd say its a space problem the folder has, and if you find unnecery files to erase, it should solve the issue.
