THE FOLLOWING ARE QUESTIONS COMMONLY ASKED OF US FOR EPISODE 2 AND LOTC IN GENERAL.   IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION NOT LISTED BELOW, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT THE ORACLE OR JOEL STEUDLER.

-LotC II Has a Movie?-

To honor the legacy that Blizzard Entertainment set forth with StarCraft, Joel Steudler rendered a full motion video to accompany episode II. The first of these is already in circulation and should be viewed 'after' missions 9-18 are played. The second, due out in Summer 2004, should be played after mission 21.  For information on the movie, statistics, and some still shots visit MEDIA.  To download the movie(s), visit the DOWNLOADS

-What Is NexusCore That I See At The End of the Mission 18 Movie?-

NexusCore is a federally trademarked audio/visual and multimedia outsourcing company founded by Elye C. Sackmary (The Oracle), and Joel Steudler in 1999.  The company provides graphics, sound engineering, web design, logo generation, and a multitude of other services for hobbyists, start-up businesses, non-profit organizations, and even larger firms.  NexusCore is geared to provide services to those individuals and companies that can not afford to pay for an extensive in-house development staff.

-What Programs Were Used to Render the Graphics for the Movie?-

The movie was rendered and animated with "Hash" Animation Master (v 7.1).  Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator were used to flesh out many of the textures.  For more information on Animation Master please visit HASH.

-Portraits/Sounds/Graphics Aren't Working Right...HELP!-

There are (2) patcher (.exe) files that need to be downloaded for Episode II of LotC. The first is designed for missions 9-18. The second is designed for missions 19, 20, and 21. Please make sure you are using the right patcher for the missions you are playing. If you don't, the portraits, sounds, graphics for one set of maps will appear in the other and things will look out of place.

-What Is LotC Platinum?-

LotC Platinum edition was designed to be a combination of LotC: Episode III and a redoing of sound for Episode 1 and 2 along with some graphical modifications for both. However, this project was canceled in early 2000.

-What IS The Confederation?-

The Confederation is an earth based government with eighteen independent but affiliated colonies.  As is shown in Episode 1, the Zerg invaded and conquered earth some 338 years before the events in the Koprulu Sector.   Humanity endured, and we vowed NEVER to allow anything to threaten our security and freedom again, EVER.  The Confederation exists to defend that vow.

With a primarily military driven economy, the Confederation boasts thousands upon thousands of starships, armadas stretching as far as the eye can see.  The Confederation is an imperialistic expansionist government and annexes any suitable resources it can to provide for and maintain its existing military and to support the civilian population.  The Confederation, formed shortly after the zerg conquest of earth, does not encounter zerg again until the Fallen Angel Mini-Campaign.

-How Do I Get Past Level "X"-

For all LotC Strategy tips and gaming questions, please e-mail The Oracle. Walkthroughs for many missions 'may' be posted at some point but to keep mission content a surprise and away from spoilers, there is no guarantee this will happen.

-What Are the New Units for Episode 2?-

LotC II currently has "2" new units.   The Confederation Specter Bomber plane and the Confederation Battle Platform.   The Specter is suitable for multi-player, the platform is severely unbalancing and is not.

-What Is the Oracle?-

The Oracle is a Xel'Naga ancient, imprisoned in a crystal formation by his brethren shortly after the zerg rebelled and destroyed most of the Xel'Naga worldships.  To receive clues as to why the Oracle was imprisoned, visit the MEDIA section and download the "Apocalyptic Garden" MP3.  Episode II itself will offer many clues as well.
