What does it mean when it says the avatar you have selected is too large or not an avatar at all?

It means the dimensions for the avatar you selected are too large, there's a limit on the save to prevent it from taking up the whole screen. In addition, it's possible you selected a file-type that's not supported on the board. Typically most avatars are JPEG, GIF, or PNG, and likely you have that file type so it's possible you just need to make it smaller.

Thanks i played around with it in paint and cut it in half and uploaded it like that and now it works.

Did anyone on the forums ever check this guys IP address and compare it to others?  I always suspected he might be some long time member of the community just messing around with everyone.  Now he just mysteriously vanished one day after all the attention seemed to be milked.

After thorough investigation through the Camapign Creation IP Database, gathered over the past ten years, we came to the closest conclusion of it only being, get this, a clone of Razorclaw X; however, was created to play, not create, Wanderers of Sorceria, thus leaving him to a life of addiction and impatience.
