I've tried to run custom starcraft exe files with Vista but data execution prevention doesn't let me run any of my custom exes. Its really getting annoying, I messed with the Vista settings but nothing I do seems to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it?

i had the same problem with vista but this is what you do

get into command prompt through administrator then type the following:

bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff

then restart your computer and bam...windows dep is disabled

and to enable it type the same command only put AlwaysOn

Or you could just get a more up-to-date version of MPQDraft that has the bug fixed. (no, it is not a Vista bug, in case you were thinking that)

Hey thanks for the heads up on this but everytime I try this I get this. "The Boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access denied."

Avast thinks that starcraft custom exe's are trojans. Very annoying.

Maglok thinks Avast is a trojan itself.

Lavarinth doesn't use anti-virus and never has and has never had a virus he couldn't fix with something as simple as an online virus scanner.
