Yep, Canada celebrates Earth Day too.  Local celebrations include a write-up in the local paper about what you can do to help the environment that nobody reads.  Some people also use the day as an excuse to go outside, get some fresh air, and clean up other people's garbage.

And by some people you mean no one because Earth Day is just another april fool's joke and no one takes it even remotely seriously right

hey guys let's do something remotely helpful to the environment for one day a year so we can feel better about ourselves and go back to destroying the future of human survival for the rest of the year
(I think it's mostly symbolic though and is more about promoting awareness for the rest of the year tho amirite)

...fuck earth day though, I recall we had a much easier earth HOUR only a few weeks ago

I think Earth Hour was more effective with lights being turned off compared to Earth Day.
