Since I crafted this contest, I decided to be involved and finish up my submission. I titled it "A Defiler's Life."

Synopsis: Lavarinth, the great Defiler, must travel through the molten world of Char in search of his life meaning. Somehow, the Overmind has severed the control he held over this creature, however also evolving it with its own free will and sense of understanding. Although the Overmind should not have underestimated giving such powers to an already advanced being. Prepare for the Defile War.
