I'm downloading at 20KB/s...
on SA my speed is 800KB/s, something is definitely wrong here. Lav could you have a look into this and perhaps find out what in gods name could be chocking up CC's up speed?

actually they're both on the exact same server and the exact same hardware. When one goes down, they both go down. When one lags, the other lags. It's just that dreamhost is an excessively shitty server.

Indeed it is. I'm looking into the difficulty to migrate to a new server and prices, naturally.
For the meantime, Star Alli-err.. SAmods and Campaign Creations are hosted by the same providers, and we do seem to receive a lot of issues with speed and just flat out outages. I keep pushing them to look into it but the response is usually "everything seems to be working."

Ya sometimes servers get really slow and its just annoying

Yeah, Dreamhost is definitely known for despite being somewhat of an affordable and interesting hosting company -- a bit of a vacuum in terms of finding all the best times to suffer outages and slowdowns, etc.
