Secondly, I have been very lazy this summer and kinda want to change that, so I was gonna do all the youtube video things like many others have, and wondered what program you guys would recommend to use for video editing. Thanks.

Your computer is a lot better than mine and can handle OBS so there's no reason to use fraps for you. You just need to find the sweet spot for getting OBS videos to work in vegas.
