Campaign Creations

How does Campaign Creations distribute its content? Do you download directly from the site or does a forummer actually have to give you a link to where the 'campaign' is hosted?

By the way, if I posted this in the wrong forum, you can move it if you want to another one. I am not exactly used to the categories yet, but i am getting there.

By the way, I did change my profile avatar and signature last night. I couldn't exactly come up with anything unique for the signature words, but I thought it would do.

CC's projects are hosted on our own server. For a third party looking to release I recommend Mega or, if you know Russian, Narod or Rusfolder.

You mean Megauploads.com? isn't that website shut down because of certain illegal activities on the site? I don't think I can use the site, since it is shut down. But, if you don't mean that, then what site did you mean?

Mega was relaunched ages ago and remains the only good western file locker.

Is this the one you were talking about? I see one that says "mega.co.nz" and it looks like the one you're now talking about. I didn't know about that as well as this file hoster. Also, it is stylized as MEGA, but it doesn't really matter how it looks, as long as it works, I guess.

Isk is right, CC currently doesn't have a repository for non-staff projects, so you have to upload your content elsewhere to share it.

Is that because it may hold the website liable if certain content were to produce something that could be considered "copyright material from main source" or is it something else?

Pretty sure they just don't want to give the wrong idea that they endorse projects that aren't created by staff members, bit of favouritism but you see it everywere. I dont think it's related to copyright since most campaigns featured here include music from major artists (especially anigay stuff) and I don't think it's a statement of quality since there hasnt been a single good brood War campaign released including blizzards own.

Copyright has never been a matter of the slightest concern for modders except in the very rare instance you are either dumb enough to try to sell your work publicly OR a company sees you as competition and uses copyright as an excuse to DMCA you (see: infoceptor sc2wc3).
