I´ve never played online with Brood war, I tried to connect, I have the 1.15.2 version, after download the patch, says that the program will restart, and later return to the choose server window and says: STORM_ERROR_REQUIRES_UPGRADE. If I try again, doesn´t downlod the patch, it is already in the desktop. It try to restart again, and send same message. What I must do? Copy the storm.dll file from the CD and put it in the Starcraft directory?

I don't know... but isn't the newest 1.16.1 patch is the only thing that works with Battle Net?

Unless you're running it on the private Shadowflare Server, 1.16.1 is required. That means you need the latest patch for US East, US West, Asia, and Europe gateways, as well as most custom/private ones (including iCCup).

You can try to force version change by downloading the patch or using the BWAI Downgrader.

If all else fails try a clean reinstall with the digital download variant.

I thought the digital download would cause problems with mods?

Personally, I recommend SCV Selector instead of BWAI. It's a lot more reliable for me and I have less mod problems with it. I don't know if that link is an English version. English version here, if you want it.

Lavarinth, I use the digital download, and it hasn't given me any problems with mods yet, so I dunno what you mean.

I've never had problems with a digital download, nor have I had issues with mods when using BWAI's Downgrader. So, y'all are fucked. hurr

The issue is with using old mods that require versions before 1.15.2, because the format for the key isn't supported before that version. Using some files from the newer versions works to some degree, but there may be issues trying to play very old versions on it.
