There are 2 rare bosses, 1 called Iskatu and the other called Razorclaw in act 4.

It's not a COMPLETE reference through. Otherwise Iskatu would have been a giant dragon that proc Eclipse every 2 seconds....

Indeed. The fact that it's even possible to kill Iskatu means that it's not a true homage.

I knew about Iskatu for a while, not the other one though.

Apparently Iskatu is 'farmed' in higher difficulties for loot.


ED: I looked 'myself' up in D3 DB, and I haven't the slightest idea what I'm looking at (note: I haven't played much so I'm not in Act 4 yet). 'My' title is awesome sauce.

Found myself. Apparently I guard the gate at the end of the Gardens level 2, but apparently it doesn't appear that I'm always there. Also appears that it's one of those meteor demons that fall out of the sky, with a frenzy buff and electrified or something....

Changed sig accordingly.

No, it's definitely a deliberate reference. You see, "Legion" is German for "Thalraxal."

You could make an arguement about Razorclaw being a coincidence, but show me another source for Iskatu. No, I can almost guarantee that these are references to the respective people here due to the fact that there are people working at Blizzard now who were once a part of CC.

Legion has biblical connotations, so yes, it's more than likely this one is purely happenstance.

Purple = Unique monsters, so they are specifically named and have a title. Yellow is a rare monster, its all random, and has no title, it lists its powers.

Razorclaw = RCX
Iskatu = IskatuMesk

Ok, you guys have convinced me.
To be honest, when I first met Iskatu in Act IV, I have instantly thought at IskatuMesk.
Then I reminded me on all these nasty bashings, which Malkor gives them everytime he has a chance to. And I was like to me: Uh... No! They can't mean IskatuMesk... ^^'

And the legacy of RazorclawX for both SC and WC speaks for itself.
