Campaign Creations

Sharandar, creator of the campaign 'Reclamation of Aiur'.  I'm looking for him.  Anyone seen him?

I did some searching online, there is a chance he is from Denmark, plays DoD:S and posts at the 2K forums - recently.

The email address is a bust.  Haven't tried that forum guy yet, might be him, but who knows.  The guy on steam, I added him to my friends list, though I'm not sure how I can actually contact him using that information.  Just gotta find him in a game one day or something?  Anyways, thanks for the effort, guess I'll sign up to that forum and see if that guy is him.

On Steam, you can IM people so long as they have Steam on and they accept you. I believe it's pretty limited to that unless the gamer profile says more.

you combine clues, every little bit helps. The email provided is no good because it's before it would've been used to a great extent to give it an online presence, had it been a yahoo email address, it would've been easier.

Matthew Smith doesn't strike you as anything? Well, I guess it isn't as bad as John Smith.

Plenty of times, and done all sorts of shit from outing secret relationships to making embarrassing photoshops of people's publicly available Facebook photos, but usually I've had more information to go on or at least a more distinct name

For example has anyone noticed that m_smith1@emerson.edu is an academic email:
Presumably Sharandar was a college student not a teacher at the time, but either way if the email's bounced then obviously he's not there any more; if not having finally graduated in the billion or so years it's been then left for some other reason. Then you factor in the dullness of the email username and the fact that every educational institution I've ever dealt with has assigned email addresses based on some boring formula like that rather than letting people pick their own which would cause chaos - so that particular username may not be one that he would think to use for anything else.

A username like "Sharandar" is much more distinct with only about 7 pages of Google results so there's probably better luck there, though there's still every chance with a fantasy-sounding name like that of it being used by different people who are unaware of each other, and after skimming the google results very quickly it seems most of them are things from years ago and not that helpful, though you may be able to find another email address or other username that could either be still in use today or direct you towards another one that is. It's possible that maybe it is that guy from Denmark but remember he had an email address from a college in Boston so while there's every chance he may have moved it's a bit counterintuitive. That said maybe Desler or somebody else who was from Sharandar's time knows any other information about him that could be a clue.

I know that it's dead because its academic, but if he were to sign up for another email address since he has gotten a bit older and abandoned Sharandar it seems, he might have used it again (m_smith@yahoo.com, m_smith@gmail.com etc) Knowing the full first name only adds to that. The trick is to find someone who has at least two of the names in common.

The most recent thing I could find with a person named Sharandar was @ the 2k forums, it was about Bioshock.

The other method(not as good) is to find the people he maybe knew and find him via them. If you want a list of people he might have known well enough to stay in contact with, check the VA credits in the RoA readme file.

Unfortunately, Sharandar wasn't really too social here even during CCs busy days.  I probably had the latest contact with him, having had him play Quick in CI.  No known acquaintances, makes finding him quite difficult.

Call upon your exsisting social networks to call upon their exsisting social networks to start a viral campaign to put up a "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?" poster on every lantern in every street in the entire world. Should be doable I say!
