The Scroll of Resurrection program for World of Warcraft is revised:
http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/267 ... ected-Soon!
It offers a character boost to 80 (with a set of gear and a flying mount) and a free Cataclysm upgrade in addition to the usual 7 days. Referrer gets a mount.
P.S. Don't do something stupid like leave your e-mail address as a reply on this if you're interested.

Don't forget the free server transfer and faction change for that free level 80 too!
I was talking about it with a friend of mine on Saturday, and then another friend (who really wants those spectral mounts). Overall, it's a pretty sweet deal that Blizzard's offering, and I'm actually somewhat tempted by it. Don't know if it'll actually get me to renew my subscription or not, my experiences with the two-week free trial Blizzard offered back in October was a little underwhelming. But, hey. Free stuff. Sweet.

If you're still on the fence about it you may want to give it another week, some people are having problems with it and the phone calls to their service line is bogged down.
But anyway, even if you have no intention of coming back, getting Cata for free is nothing to sneeze at.

My wife would love an invite. The moment I told her about the deal, excitement burned in her eyes. WoW definately made a lasting impression. I fear if I don't get her an invite soon, my life may be in jeopardy...

Don't do it! Remain free from the shackles of WoW!

Whelp, nevermind. She was overcome with impatience and sought an alternative source (read: Facebook, the devil to WoW's demon).
