Texts limit?

Ok. Shit just hit the fan, for some reason, when I tried to enter texts for transmission, StarEdit would omits they entirely. Like for example. I made a dialog then save, the game would just make it appear as (no text).

Does that means that the game simply runs out of text space and blow up? Is there anyway to fix this?

There's a program that would increase the limits, but to my knowledge doing so could also demolish your map at any point in time with no recovery. Ask Isk for more details.

And clearly, yes, there is a limit, it's typically a little difficult to reach unless you have one long huge map (Celestial Irruption mission 1 JUST reached the limit, as an example).

Everything counts towards the string limit: Trigger lines, trigger comments, transmissions, mission briefing, sound files, locations, etc.

If you are referring to the 1.10 limit expander, I had no idea that applied to string limits in the map. Actually, I'm not sure how you'd even apply it to SE in the first place.

Well, I didn't reach the string limit, but I reach the byte limit instead (65536 bytes). Which is even worse because I don't think there are any programs that could increase the byte limit. And yes, since my campaign is RPG centric, the amount of texts required for the all the quests are enormous! I in fact reached the byte limit only able to complete 50% of the dialogues. Guest I'll have to cut content then, feels like crap for doing that though since I wasted like 40+ hours for the dialogues these past few days.

Alternatively, you cut end the scenario about half way through and just use the same terrain for the next map and continue from there.

This is what we SC mapmakers have to bear. :(
You'll probably have to do what Jim said and split the map in two, unfortunately.
