I'm a photographer.

Well, not quite, but I'm getting there.
The camera is pretty picky when it comes to focusing on things, and I don't have often the opportunity to test it out, but this is what I got today.

(Above) It's a Brutis! Just think about it; he's only about 5 years younger than me, and probably in better health. Yet, he is the last of his brood, the last of an entire bloodline.
Our porch has more spiders on it than I have ever seen in a city before. Some of them are enormous, too. Unfortunately, the really big ones went into hiding before I could bring out my camera. I also took a lot of photos that never actually got captured by the camera, probably because it's a bitch about lighting or I am doing something wrong. Anyways, I got some cool shots.

(Above) A medium-sized garden spider. He's over an inch long, bunched up like that.

(Above) Two shots of the same spider. In all of my years of spider-mongering (I was into that kind of thing long before I picked up a console, and inevitably, a computer), I have never seen this species before. He is small, but quite pretty. That was as close as I could get the camera without it going out of focus.

More stuff.

Best shot of the stray cat granny likes to feed. Tried to get a photo of his face but he kept moving.
