What do you think? Should it be unique? Not unique? Lesser abilities? More powerful abilities? As it stands right now, it seems to be functioning as an Arbiter on Redbull with upgraded armor.
Expect some of your comments to appear in a podcast shoot sometime in the near future.
Also, petition for Lav to set up an SC2 discussion forum solely for SC 2 :O

If one more asshole makes an sc2 topic instead of putting them in the sc2 topic I am going to KILL YOU ALL.
The Mothership is fine the way it is. Maybe give it Recall, and change the name, but that's it. No super units. No one-shotting air units. That's that.

We can't really have a starcraft 2 board because there isn't that much to talk about. Its the same reason the podcast is doomed. As for the mothership there is already a somewhat lengthy discussion in the thread devoted to SC2.
Close this shit imo.

The problem with that SC 2 thread? Its 59 pages. FIFTY NINE PAGES. You guys honestly wade through that to find a sub topic in SC 2 that interests you? Therein's the problem. I had no idea there was a Mothership discussion already going on. You could probably garner more chatter if there was an actual thread dedicated to it.
Sigh, people are so cynical. Stop condemning things, okay? If it's doomed to fail, then its doomed to fail. I can't say I didn't try, and people obviously listened to it. Theres a reason why we schedule looooong breaks in between shoots. There's always going to be some kind of media leak, or announcement, or whatever. Failing that, theres always a creative mind on the back here whose churning out SC stuff still. There will always be something to talk about, period. If you think the podcast is doomed, then don't listen to it. I don't know when the hell everyone got so negative all of a sudden. I don't even know why I rejoined this community. I don't seem to know anyone anymore.
At the very least, the creation of an SC2 board will help divide up topics a little better instead of bumping a 59 page hippo of a thread.
You know what, they're right. Lock this thread.

It's no problem just to jump into the sc2 thread with your thoughts on something. Asking a question that is likely to already have been answered is probably not worth it; just give your own thoughts. If you don't want to read through it, you don't have it; but making pointless threads just because you are too lazy and/or uncaring to participate in the main discussion won't really help it much.
We could use an sc2 board, I agree; but I don't have admin access, so it's not my place to say in either case.
I don't know why anyone would think the podcast would "fail"... how does it "succeed"? It's a discussion, in ventrilo. I talk on ventrilo almost every day. How is that any different than a podcast? It isn't. A podcast is simply a gathering of topics and individuals to discuss those topics. There may be slow weeks, but "doomed to fail" is really a pointless statement.

The main point of the topic was so that I could get a centralized thread about one thing only that's going to be placed on the podcast.
I wish I had the time to sift through everyones wonderful replies but unfortunately, I don't.
I also don't want to ask every person individually saying 'say, can I use your reply in the podcast?'. I'd rather just put it in the main topic
and say "hey guys, the stuff you say here has a chance of getting included, okay?". But nah, after all that
I just lost all motivation to include any sort of community feedback.

Wait, wait wait...
We have a community? Why wasn't I informed of this revelation?

Personally, I don't see the real harm in having a SC2 forum section. If it helps, it helps and if it's doomed from the start, it will just doom itself then the section just gets deleted and/or combined with the SC1 one until SC2 gets released.
Honestly, I didn't notice the SC2 thread went over 59 pages. I guess it means that a SC2 forum section is unlikely to bring harm at that rate presuming otherwise there would be a minimum of 10+ more pages if it stays as a single thread.
Also TPC ... take Mesk's speech as a grind of salt, he always was the doomsayer of our community and will always be. I think the community goes better compared to 1-2 years which pretty much became a total halt on both CC and SA with the exception of RCX's campaigns and some other content there and there.

If you guys produce a text-only transcript of the podcast, I might consider reading it.

As long as theres new content people will view it. Fanbases grow larger when theres more content.
As for the mothership, it's cloak needs to work exactly like the arbiter, having it hold still to cloak stuff is kinda retarded, sc battles are constantly moving around, if this was wc3 the concept would be easier to implement but with sc it should cloak anything around it even while moving. I understand buildings can be cloaked as well as units but thats not a big concern of mine, its not like the enemy is going to not have detectors by the time you have motherships.

I am 100% for making a SC2 forum
seriously, AA7 was the only one who complained.
I would personally muchprefer it if we have aforum for SC2, this was we will be able to discuss seperate SC2 stuff and not focus on the current topic.
I know my opinion likely doesn't count at all. but its still an opinion.

Stop being a little bitch TPC, I already expressed my doubts about the podcast simply because I think that there is a lack of content or whatever, and I think the same thing about SC2 FOR THE MOMENT. When the shit is finally released and dudes actually have shit going on for it fine I would advocate it but at the moment its just oing to be lilke 3/4 the boards at SA where no one says anything every. But hey, I'm pissed and have no authority here. Just expressing my ideas.

No, you're not. If someone wants to talk about or speculate on the nature of SC2, that's their beef. You, on the other hand, are like "shut up it doesn't interest me", well get over it.
I don't like/care about over half of the things any of you say, but I don't go around telling you all to shut up because of it.
