I was inspired by mancatcher/Iskatumesk...

...that I made this way waaay back when I was still a noob @ voice acting and @ cool edit [Yes. I still use cool edit pro up until now >_>]

This was one of the samples that I did back then. I voiced them and edited them with Cool edit's default presets.

Later on.. People started to see my works and wanted me to voice for them. I was reluctant at first but why not. I got a bit boastful and made this:

Up until now, requests for Voice Edits or acting keep on coming like an angry korean player doing a zerg rush.

I wanted for Iskatumesk/mancatcher to hear my works so that I can learn from him. I wanna improve my VA-ing for StarCraft.

"Upon this beasts" should be "upon these beasts" ;)

You have an accent I see. What accent is that? Sometimes you speak a bit too fast in the first demo, and I think the Archon's effects are a bit too heavy. Other than that I think they are quite a good start. Much better than most of the voice acting auditions I saw for sons of war from "experienced" actors, anyway.

Are you using Dynamics Processing in any of these? I think that might be a new fork in editing for you to check out if you haven't yet. It is located under Amplitude. Most people seem to refer to dynamics as a Compressor, but its uses are far and wide. The biggest thing it will do for you is even out the volumes of your words and help provide more umph to your voice overall. It can be applied before or after effects, but I recommend applying any reverb/echos after the dynamics processing, as it will have strange effects (that may be beneficial to certain setups but usually is not).

Yeah, arkane/galiant uses dynamics processing (particularly very fast attack) for all his stuff.

I see. I use custom profiles mostly, but they don't work as well on other people's voices.

Is 'custom profile' featured solely in Audition? I thought I saw it in CEP2.1 somewhere but never bothered with it. Now I can't seem to find it.

wut?

By custom profiles I mean ones I have edited. Almost all sound editing apps/plugins I've used support custom profiles.

Oh, I thought you meant something else. Never mind.

Also, making female voices is surprisingly easier than I thought.

I did a huge amount of female voices for Heart of Storms, but be damned if it will ever actually make it to a release...

Well, Jim_Raynor's serious StarCraft campaign has a main female lead, and I'm voicing them all, so I figured I'd better learn. Turns out I was right: it's just as much about the inflection and voice acting skills as it is about the editing.

My voice was preferred over the real thing for said project... which was a bit weird to hear, but yeah. If you fit the bill then you fit the bill.

As in someone preferred your voice over a woman's voice? Lol.

Sillies. Oh well, at least they used your talent.

Supposedly. The project wasn't finished. Almost all projects I've done voice acting for were never finished or released. So, I stopped taking requests from mods or maps. I've done a bit of voicing for some random indie games and such but yeah. The only major project (outside of my own work) to use my voicing that I know/remember of getting finished was VE.

Then you have the projects that I did mod work for... like Magic's supposed entry for the CC scenario contest...
