Tales from the Dreamer

I had a funny idea where a story was being co-narrated by Hikaru and Shizuka. Something completely absurd would happen and Shizuka would go off on a tangent about how stupid it is and Hikaru would be the straight man trying to get things back on track. Story gets even more absurd and they start beating the crap out of each other so there's no more narrator.

Heh, sounds like it would pretty entertaining. So would the story just end abruptly once Hikaru and Shizuka start beating the crap out of each other, or would it continue with the audience missing large chunks of it because there's no narrators left to relate critical information to us?

Just continue without narration.

This signature was prompted on two things:

1. I largely ignored Miranda being an idol, although this was on purpose.

2. If I stuck two characters that never interacted together what would happen. In this case it's Miranda and Kurumi, who never met at any point in the campaign. It, along with the above, appeared after a musing that they could be like Macross Frontier characters Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee (come on, you see it, too).

The funny thing is I actually could see a story coming out of it.

And in what form would this story be told?^^

I'd be happy to see it in text nevertheless. Good job on the signature.

Way I see it goes like this: every country has a 'battle idol' or something that inspires the troops with their idol-ness, like it gives a +50 to Attack power to everyone in 100 yards or some-such crap. Miranda's manager wants to replace her (because she's getting 'old', which is more or less meaning she's not a teen anymore) and the candidate is Kurumi found working in a Chinese restaurant (lol). Someone ELSE (as in, the government-- actually, it's more like Shion) wants to replace her with a Virtual Idol (in theory its Miku the Vocaloid, but if you have Shizuka involved its Luka) so they never have to deal with this problem. Mess gets sorted out in time to repel a rival country's attack and defeat their idol (in theory the attack is lead by Yue Fang, but she's NOT the idol).

I don't know, I find it humorous for idols to beat each other by singing; probably Iron Chef-like.
