yeah i discovered it to be the one by looking for youtube vids/articles about fraps.
but i thought fraps was free T_T, but buying the full thing doesnt seem to be too expensive.
how does one get their videos onto youtube? i remember back in the day i used windows movie maker to publish a vid and uploaded it to youtube (it was the only vid i ever made, and i deleted it years ago).
but now i dont have windows movie maker, and so i need to know if video content generated by fraps is enough to upload straight into youtube, because (as i have tested) the videos come out, once recordings are ended, in a windows media player format, is that enough to be able to upload them?
i also need to find a way to get a hold of some sound editing software, like audition and the like, because my voice is a little bit quite when i talk in my recordings.
god just thinking about all the neat little things i can do with some of this software makes me want to mod the crap out of stuff more and more ^_^

What do you mean by you don't have it?
In addition, depending on the output settings of your FRAPS video, it may still be within the limits (gigs worth) for YouTube. The only limitation most people have to worry about is video length (15 minutes).
There are converters and codecs out there that will compress your video (my suggestion is Xvid) with minimal loss in quality that are free. Professional editing can be done with After Effects or Premiere, and this includes editing the volume of the video itself incase it needs to be increased. I'm not sure if a free editor (such as AutoGK) can adjust volume levels.

well the windows movie maker i had was years ago, on a computer with vista.
this new computer i have has windows 7 64bit, one that i built and installed the software myself.
im not sure why, but this OS seems to be missing quite a bit of windows things, aside from windows media player and stuff.
but thanks for the info, ill have to look into that software, cause my voice on some test recordings has been rather low >.<

Try entering the Recording options on the volume control (on the bottom right of taskbar, right click) and look at the properties of the microphone. Increase the sound level volume if possible.
I'm pretty sure 7 has editing software as well, but as mentioned if your videos are within 15 minutes, it shouldn't be necessary, otherwise you'd need to split them.

Whoops, I just read the thread title as "Where to download maps?" and was ready to go into rant mode (as concise as that would be.)
