MPQ editing

Since most Blizzard games use MPQ files, I was wondering if it was possible to edit game data files in order to add custom content to the game. For example, just for fun, I'd like to replace Diablo II's soundtrack by some custom music, but I don't know if it's as easy to do so as with other games (e.g. STALKER, Id's games, etc.).

Particularly with the older games, I know you can 'replace' files by creating folders in your game directory.
I wouldn't recommend it for the more current games, though. Blizzard already indicated they aren't square with that.

use winmpq
www.shadowflare.samods.org and then use mpqdraft (available on cc) and run your new mpq with that. Don't modify default mpqs.
And yeah, Blizzard will ban you if you touch sc2. They are opposed to modding their new games.

It broke Taer's awesome Flash stuff in the "Classic Pic" thread too

I'm just curious if magic tripped over a dead Dreamhost agent at his doorstep or if this was intentional. Seems unlikely he'd intentionally blow something up. Hopefully SF's website and Taer's troll effigy can be recovered.

I know about this one already, but I didn't know you could use it to repack custom MPQs.
