It appears we'll be having wired and wireless internet this time around at our hotel. (It's a much nicer one.) Anything you guys want to see in terms of video or pictures?

Anything related to Heart of the Swarm, of course. :]

Sorry, that's the one thing they're not covering. By the way, there is that $40 DirectTV package for BlizzCon.

Most people won't go for it, but that it comes with a WoW pet and some SC2 items will probably lure a few diehards. The SC2 item is probably just a Feat of Strength achivement.

Of course, they say that, but knowing Blizzard, I'm sure they won't be able to resist throwing a few hints/teasers here and there.

At least one of which will be, "Don't worry, HoS will explain all of the hackneyed plotholes in Wings of Liberty.".

Yeah, I can't see them keeping their mouth shut about HoS. There'll be something.

That said though, anything Diablo 3 related should be interesting. What's that last unannounced class gunna be anyway?

(and introduce at least twice as many more)

Just admit it: you guys love being disappointed by Blizzard. Can't see why else you'd waste your time with their terrible terrible games. :D

That is a very true statement. No one can quite drop the soap like Blizzard can.

There's enough of Starcraft 2 to keep us around, but the question is how long and if another game will come along to steal the spotlight. Given how few developer want to wade into the RTS pool, all signs point to no.

Anyway, Lav, if there's one thing any of us would love to know about, it's the multiplayer modes for Diablo 3. You'll doubtlessly get lots of hits if you can give specifics on the settings, how it's hosted, how you play, if there's still a monthly fee, and how you can save character data.

Yeah, can't wait for Command & Conquer 5!

I take it that you think highly of Capcom and Konami when it comes to good game storytelling. Can't blame ya... ;)

Umm... Diablo never had a monthly fee and was never going to have a monthly fee. Get your head out of the gutter.

And chances are character data will be all server side like D2 and sc2.

I'm in a really bad mood and I would ban you if I had that power.

I want to see a video of someone asking the panel of corporate douchebags at their Q&A:

“Mr. Metzen, thank you for taking my question. I speak on behalf of all of the map makers in this room, thank you for delivering such a strong product like the Starcraft 2 Editor for us to express our imaginations wildly. My question to you is, as a map maker on Battle.net, I’ve run into a few problems. Mainly I’ve censored into an issue where words censored seem to make it to the censored. I was censored if you could censored for me how censored Blizzard could censored, considering the campaign censored but censored. As a fellow practitioner of good story-telling, I can’t argue enough the difficulty of telling a good story without censored and censored and I would hope you could censored some light on censored issue. And now that I’ve censored you this censored, I will ban myself from this Q&A without explanation as to why so that I'll have to re-purchase a Blizzcon pass to once again have access to products and services I have already paid for. Thank you.”
