Thought this looked pretty cool. Think a much more truer Black and White where you can manipulate the world, thus mixed with Minecraft.

Reminds me more of Populous. It looks pretty interesting though.

The prospect alone of sending burning lava down on dozens of innocent children in a village should give this game a decent amount of players.

Many people consider it the end of the world when they lose access to the Internet. Now, you can make that literal!

their LOD system needs an overhaul, I see trees totally mutating at certain distances.
Other than that the terrain is still following the same generic ugly terrain that games like all of Bioware's games and such have, where you have to rely on doodads aka static meshes to have anything that actually resembles rocks or hard surfaces at all. But from what it appears thus far they don't have that, so all rock is, is just everything else with a different texture, and doesn't draw any kind of registration from my head other than "lol that's ugly".

Wow, that is very impressive! I wonder how they got the water texture animation to reflect it's flow so accurately?

perhaps a blob mesh kind of deal like in 3ds max, shaders are pretty slick these days
