Abe Lincoln: Vapire Hunter has the potential to either be incredibly awesome, or absolutely terrible. At this point in time there's really not enough information to tell which it'll be.

Personally, I think they should make Vlad the Impaler: Vampire Hunter. A king dedicates himself to fighting the vampires who plague his land and feed off of his people, only to be consumed by that evil and turned! Thus becoming the greatest vampire of them all! It'd be pretty epic.

Don't forget Vlad the Impaler was a real bastard in real life. He was the Pope's favorite monarch, partially because he impaled 30,000 of his own people on Romania's border to dissuade the Turks from invading. (It worked and he was one of the first nations to stop the Turkish jaggernaut.)

You don't earn a title like "the Impaler" or become the inspiration for an evil, immortal, blood sucking monster several centuries later by being a nice guy.
