Rebuilding my library from all my old albums, I came across a copy of Casshern OST I forgot I had lying around.
Aside from being super rare and expensive as a physical album, it's a great addition to any Sound Track collector and I highly recommend it, if you don't have it already. By the way, if you decide to add "Scene #48" to the MP3 of the Week, I totally wouldn't hold it against you.

Which Casshern are you talking about? The original OVAs, the live-action movie, or the Casshern SINS reboot?

Casshern, hmm? I'll have to look for it. Never heard of it.
/edit
I'm not seeing 48 in my track listing right now.

ok it seems that the two versions I got are labeled differently but I think I have it. This is definitely one of those rare treasures you only find every now and then. Any others?

Seriously good stuff that OST is. Thanks for pointing it out Arch.
You should check out Gundam Unicorn OST, it has some amazing tracks.

Not only was the OST for Gundam Unicorn cool, but I really liked the initial episode they released as well. Here is some more fantastic anime music, also Gundam (from Turn A Gundam) by Yoko Kanno:

The whole OST is awesome, and very varied in style. Orchestral bombast, quiet folk, modern music as well... I recommend both the OST and anime! (the live concert version of the OST is a nice compilation of all the best music, if you don't want to dig up the individual albums)

While I'm thinking about it, the OST to Shadow Ops: Red Murcury isn't half bad. Quite a few good moments.
And in case you don't have it already, the OST for The Fountain is just a series of tracks that will kill you softly again and again. And then it punches you in the face. And beats the everloving shit out of you. And then cups your disfigured head in its arms and whispers your bloody face to sleep. Where you dream of it kill you.

The guy who did TtT and Fairy Tail also apparently did Naruto Shippuuden and it's fucking amazing like the rest of them.
