ok so i know this is allitle dumb question, but can anyone tell me how to start ''THE FENIX'' it says something about patches and stuff even though i have 1.16.1 . Can you pls help me? i want to play it soo much!! thx in advance.

You have to downgrade your version of StarCraft to possible around 1.05?

I think it's just because of that. Perhaps it doesn not support BW version 1.16.1. Since this campaign was made long ago, I think you would need an earlier version in order to run it properly, just like some other modded campaigns like Aeon of the Hawk or Flame Knives need version 1.10 in order to play it.

EDIT: Oops, it seems like Lav answered just before me. Yeah, that was what I talked about. Downgrade your SC version to 1.05 (I didn't know which version was, thanks Lav!) and you should be fine.

Don't worry, it isn't a permament change. You can upgrade it again to whatever version you want once you have finished playing The Fenix.

will that change any of my settings and maps and stuff? anyways thx. you are the best

still gives me the same error... and how am i supposed to downgrade it to 1.05 when 1.07 is the minimum? ill try the other programs

nothing happens after that... looks like im not gonna play THE FENIX. saaad faace ;(

Try a different downgrader?  My guess is that it isn't changing the right files.

I have no clue, though.  It's been a while since I played The Fenix, and I did on a Windows XP without downgrading.  Sorry I can't be of more help.
