I know of a similar case here in Brazil, when I worked in a law firm. No, I wasn't working on the case or anything, it actually happened there. The girl, one day, simply said something like "I intend to eventually try and pursue a career as a model" and was subsequently fired.

The facts: the ones in charge were mostly women who were not attractive at all and who said amongst themselves that they disliked how good-looking she was. The girl who was fired was also a model already, and this didn't hurt her work schedule at the firm in the slightest bit.

Well yeah, it wasn't that blatant but still it was pretty obvious what the reason was.

I'd hire her.

Her lawyer said that she will sue Chase (who she now works for) if they fire her. He also said, and I quote "She has already gone against Chase's code of conduct." (by proving herself to be a potential embarrassment to the firm). IE: She's milking this for the money. Good luck ever getting a job in this field after this. (although, bank teller isn't exactly a glamorous profession)
