Of course, it's only been a few days and someone has taken StarCraft II to the next level by designing a wacky racing map, and recorded the gameplay:

Oh, don't worry.. SC2Mapster may make maps here and there, but we're the ones making true projects: Campaigns.

fix- Oh wait, you'll need Mpqdraft to do that.

Oh well, guess I'll make a campaign.

If they fix the editor that is.

Though the third-person shooters look promising there is a few issues - I've heard that if you bring down the view distance the skybox breaks. And infinite view distance on a big map could cause considerable lag, even for a high-end system. One would hope that this gets fixed and you can cover up the models vanishing with fog.

Interesting.  I was looking at the editor before trying to figure out if there was a way that you could create a mouselook feature.  I kept looking and looking, trying to figure out how to track and manipulate the pointer (You can track, but not manipulate, as far as I can tell).  But then I see this... I downloaded that Perdition map, and looked at the triggers.  As it turns out THERE IS A DEFAULT FUNCTION FOR MOUSELOOK.  AMAZING.

I don't actually want to use it for anything, but I wanted to know if it was possible.  GUESS IT IS.

What I want to do is something more like the second video Meta posted, the top down third person thing.  I've been making plans for something using that sort of system for quite a while.

Does it have the name Spiff in it?

I can neither confirm nor deny Spiff in the title.  However, I will tell you that there is a "Wars" and "2" in the title.  Make of that what you will.

Wow. Very interesting. This is all too reminding of WC3. Lol
Just the style of the maps anyway. Not their functions.
The added functionality and ability to manipulate things such as UI and such will make campaigns even more interesting and diverse.
I just hope they revamp the interface for the editor... I hate it.
