"Thank you"

I've just created this topic in order to "thank" all those who have contributed to the closing of my previous thread, since it is closed and I can't comment on it anymore. I must say that, even as it griefs me, that I agree with the closing. You know? I care little if you know who am I or not. I care little how high my post count is (566, as of now). Even if I am nobody for you, that doesn't means you can flam and spam my thread like that. I am not saying I disapprove jokes. However, you have by far bypassed the limit. That thread was created in order to warn about the dangers of one person's ambitions and to encourage the sense of responsability. Now I see it encourages everything but that. Congratulations, you made my day.
What started as a mean to help people, has ended in a raw of questions about 'Who is who' and 'Who is better than who'. Since it all started because of the stupid thought about who am I, I will introduct myself. My name's Víctor García aka "omega20", 16 (almost 17 though), live in Spain, have two sisters, a motorbike and a car and like to play computer games and going out with friends. Any more questions about myself? No? Good. Now that you know who am I, you better ask who are you.
I have noticed that some people seemingly wanted to help by defending me. However, even as I am thankful to those who did that, that was not necessary either, since it contributed to the fighting that ended with the closing of the thread.
You shouldn't take this thread as an insult to you (just as a reminder that unnecessary comments may hurt people) neither as an affront to the administrator and moderators' authority. After all, they are just doing their job, and I respect that. It just hurts me that a thread I created with all my good intention has to end like this.
You don't need to comment anything here.
Regards.

I totally expected this thread to inevitably get locked as well because that's the way things go with these kinds of threads but ^_^

I'm sorry your thread was hijacked omega. Iirc, this is the third or fourth time negi has asked that same insulting question, and I'm sick of reading it, and sick of people who have now been here years have to downplay or whatever. Newsflash: other people are in this forum than the ones that were here in 2006. Get used to it or close the forums. But if every time someone posts they have to prove themselves, this is gonna get old real fast.
My original response was arbitrarily deleted, which since there's no notification, made me unsure of whether my wireless hadn't glitched. It also resulted in two other people having basically the same response, since the basic response to that question is almost always the same. Obviously, since negi asks it to someone like every 2 months. I guess I should get my calendar ready for June.
Of course posting is now an exercise in absurdity, since for all I know this post will be replaced by lolcatz.
So I agree: thank you. And if my response hijacks this thread, whatever its the internet.
*chance that lolcatz are edited into this post: 87%
That was my though too. It would have been easier for everyone to simply delete the off-topic posts instead locking the entire thread without an explanation or notification. Anyways...
About Negi, I know he is the beginner of the fight. And we all know how he is. What shocked me was not his reaction, but the amount of people who joined that fighting which ultimately led to its closing.

You mean it as an irony? Also, what 'kind' of threads do you mean? Serious threads or just serious threads made by 'nobody'?

Threads made in response to threads getting locked are always typically a bad idea.

I don't know if it is a good or a bad idea. The fact is that this thread was just meant to express my opinion, not about the closing, but about the reasons that leaded to it, of the other thread, since I can't comment on it anymore. I have also expressed my wish to not make this a full-thread, but just a personal opinion, here:

P.S. I hope my serious attitude does not bother anyone. It is just that the situation requires it. I'm attempting to express myself as educated as possible, though.

I don't think anyone has anything against you, it's just certain individuals are trying to sharpen their trolling skills on these boards and certain people are too lenient on them.

omega, I apologize your thread got locked, but it was (as you noticed) due to the responses from members towards each other. My only other option aside locked threads is to constantly delete these posts. Yet, if I do, bitterness occurs and they don't get the hint that I'm attempting to prevent an issue, and instead they purposely cause it.

Then shouldn't these people be punished?

As I said, I respect your decision of locking the thread, because I have noticed the reasons behind it. I just had the doubt about why having it closed instead just deleting the off-topic posts. Now I know. If it was for the better, then so be it.

Krazy: Stop derailing this thread.
To everyone: This isn't run by any of you, it's ran by me. I run it as I deem fit. Got a problem? Leave. Honestly, you guys bicker at each other far too much. I lock a thread to move on and you just continue it on another thread. Get the hint.
