how the hell do they think that's an improvement

it's not

it's ugly

it has less functionality

it's confusing

buttons are everywhere when you hover a dude's name

the videos on the side are often not even related to the main video and still aren't indexed properly to display consecutive videos in a series

I can't copy the embed url anymore to lift videos with jdownloader

I hate google

I thought it was an april fool's joke but it's been up for two days and someone said this was from the beta I mean wtf

but at least I can rate up my own videos

It'll take some time getting used to. Then again, even I'm not sure this layout is such a good idea.
Somebody shoot the guy who thought this was a bright-ass idea (figuratively speaking).

I think it was part of their attempt to match Facebook and Twitter in Web 3.0-ish features.  It's great for new users to Youtube but just weird for us is all.

I was fine with the old layout, this new one is REALLY FRICKEN ANNOYING.

um how is a interface with zero graphical features and just a big mishmash of text and shit easier for new users?

facebook and twitter are both awful but not nearly as bad as this

The assumption is that if people like Facebook, they need to make Youtube like that but MORE of it.

That old new layout (since it's no longer active) was horrid, I'll agree. They need to get away from the no image attempt, it's really bugging me. MSN does it as well. Just a mash of text, not even table borders.

I was thinking about that over the last two days too.  Horrible, horrible new site layout.

I really want to open fire when I'm on youtube now.

Yeah, I'm not particularlly keen on the new layout either, like Mesk I was kinda hoping it was an April Fools Day prank
