Campaign Creations

Hello,

I've been hunting on the web for quite some time now, trying to track down modified Infested Terran sprites. The thing I'm looking for is both simple and perhaps complex; I'd like my Infested Terran to be able to use his/her/its claws, much like the Infested Kerrigan does. As I've poked around in the iscript.bin, I know this means creating additional sprites.

I would try and accomplish this myself, but I'm just terrible with graphics, and the internet, for a change, hasn't cranked out anything close to what I need (the only "remote" one being an Infested Raynor. A Gauss Rifle that spits acid goo? I think not).

Is there anyone here who has a frame or two on a dusty shelf who might be willing to help me out? For the record, I'm not asking anyone to actually create sprites for me; I'm not that big a leech, and it won't kill me or my little project if I have to keep my new Infested Terran hero as an weaponless spell caster.

That would require creating new frames for a unit.. That is somewhat asking a lot considering no one's bothered to help for the past.. Near 10 years. But worth asking, right?

The chances of you obtaining such a sprite are second to none. Not because no one wants to help you, but because no one possesses the skills to create such a sprite.

There was an infested templar lurking somewhere iirc, though... dunno what its animations were like.

I'm pretty new to this scene, so I figured it'd be worth asking, yeah. But like I said - I'm only inquiring as to whether or not someone's already done and made what I'm looking for... I'm not asking anyone to break his back for me.

How is it that nobody has volunteered to help in the last ten years? From what I've read, this scene used to be pretty massive. It stands to reason that someone must've done something in the way of expanding existing unit frames...

Aha... I see. What would it take for someone to create such sprites, apart from artistic talent?

No one has actually created infested units with attack animations that I am aware of. The process is actually fairly simple, but to mimic the quality of StarCraft exact is questionable.

The requirements for creating the frames is simple, however first you require the artistic talent or there's no point in bothering. Aside from talent, you'll need something like RetroGRP to export and import frames.

You need to be pretty good at 3ds max or equivelent to make the frames. After that it's easy.
