It will be required for all future Blizzard games, its really amusing how much people are crying over it on the forums.

Its required for SC2 and D3 so suck it up and get it over with. Especially if you already play WoW-- it's not like you didn't already give them your information when you signed up for the thing in the first place.
BTW, its the same account that you use if you buy stuff from the Blizzard store, so if you already have that you don't need a new one.

That took me like five seconds when I was signing up for the beta.

I've been signed up on battle.net since it came out so I could put all of my disks away into storage.
