Hello!  
Having some troubles firing up the game.I am sitting on a MAC OS X version 10.4.
I have downloaded the maps, packed them up and put them into maps folder i starcraft. But then when i launch the mac startup kit and select the Broodwar (carbon) icon and when the game starts i get the following message;

"Data File Error"
Starcraft was unable to open a required file. If this problem persists, try reinstalling from the Starcraft CD. The problem occured while trying to load a file
res/titledlg_mac.bin
Error: 2

What should I do? 

I tend to forget which bin files are for what, but i think its safe to say that is a Mac specific main menu dialog BIN file (which can't be found in any MPQ file). Where did you get SC from, did you install from CD? What is the "mac startup kit"? I also have a Mac and I never had this problem.

Ah, I missed the "LotC" part in the title. Can you run BW normally? Check the LotC SEMPQ for "res/titledlg_mac.bin", if its not there try taking it from StarDat/BrooDat and putting it in there. If that doesn't work then there are 2 things I can think to do:
1) Copy all the files from the SEMPQ into Patch_rt.mpq (make a backup of it first) then when you run SC "normally" it will be the mod. Just put the backup Patch_rt back when you are done to get normal SC back.
2) Download the newest Mac MPQDraft and create your own SEMPQ, then copy all the files from the old SEMPQ into it.
