StarCraft Mafia

TURNS

Days last at most 48 hours, while nights last at most 24 hours.
Players may discuss during day and night.
The first turn of the game starts with a night phase.

TEAMS

Terran/Protoss (win when all infested terrans and hybrids are killed)
Zerg (win when all hybrids are killed and Protoss are killed and all Terrans are killed or infested)
Hybrids (win when all Terran/Protoss and infested terrans are killed)

VOTES (PM'd or posted)

Vote for 'Player' (puts a vote for that player)
No Elimination (puts a vote for no eliminating on this turn)
Abstain (player doesn't vote this turn)

The player with the most votes is eliminated. In the event of a tie, no player is eliminated.
If the highest total is for No Eliminating, no player is eliminated this turn.
If a player does not post his vote in time, he abstains by default.

ROLES

Each player does not know the roles of any other player; except, infested terrans and the cerebrate know which players are infested, and hybrids know which players are hybrids.
Special abilities must be PM'd. If a player has more than 1 special ability, he may only use one per turn (infested terran and hybrid attacks are considered special abilities). Cloaked is always used automatically.

Firebat

Medic
Nanite Injection: Player may not be killed or infested for this turn; medic may not use it on him/herself.
Inspect Corpse: Reveals to the medic if a dead player was infested or a hybrid.

Technician
Tamper with Data: Changes 1 player's vote to a different target player or different type of vote.
Examine Security Camera Tapes: Reveals to the technician who was infested that turn.

Note: Cloaked affects an attack or infestation made by an infested terran or hybrid, it does not affect an elimination.

Infest: %50 chance to convert player to infested terran; only works on terrans; player is not killed if infestation does not succeed; all infested terrans may only infest 1 player each turn

Hybrid

INTRINSIC ROLES

The cerebrate chooses the night action and target player for each infested terran via PM only. The cerebrate cannot attack, vote, or be eliminated by attack or voting. Infested terrans may communicate with the cerebrate and vice versa.

Part of the issue may be this isn't Mafia, this is a role-playing style game.

The basic principle of Mafia is the same: a small team of informed hidden players is trying to defeat a large team of uninformed players.
If The THING worked, so should this, though it is much different from The THING.

EDIT:

This game is temporarily suspended until I complete necessary revisions.

Don't make it so complicated.  If you want it to be Mafia then just do Mafia.  If you want all this other role playing stuff then just do a role playing game.

The revision changes it to a true Mafia variant.

EDIT:

The revision is up. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post.

17 people?!? That's a lot of people, dude.

If you'll go back and look at my Mafia in Space game, it had only about half that number, and the concept was much simpler than yours. I don't think it's a good idea to try and host something this massive when you're a relative unknown as a moderator. There's also the fact that many of the people who'd be interested in playing this game are going to be in mAc's current game.

The idea itself is cool, but I think it might be a little too early to try it. My suggestion is to start with some simple, smaller games, and gradually make them bigger. Also, be sure to talk with mAc; he has plenty of Mafia experience, both in playing and moderating, and I'm sure he'd be willing to give you advice.

I was not aware that there was another Mafia game going on.
