Campaign Creations

StarCraft: First Contact

Watch in HQ, very nice.  Things like this make me want cinematics for my campaign, then I easily forget its months of work to make something like this.  StarCraft continually inspires creativity.

Edit:  Meh, don't blame me for the crappy frame the forum puts the video in. 

Holy hell. It's Blizzardesque for sure. I didn't like Tassadar's lines, but his voice was a very cool imitation.

This may very well be the best fan vid ever made!

That's very nice. I got a feeling a lot of that is also after effects. But damn that's nice. !

That's because nothing happened.  It showed us what is possible: 'regular' people seem to have the power (and the tools) to create something that game developers create (or used to create).  I like this a lot, I'm anxious to see where the new era of fan-created material is going to take us.

Poor Terran Marine, seems they always get the short end of the stick in any cinematic.

....what does that even mean?  Do legacies not have beginnings?

This is really an awesome animation, and in consideration of this surely hard work - one have to recognised it...

Same here. I actually really wasn't all that impressed. Tassadar's voice sounded terrible and the lines were totally out of character. The marine's animations seemed really weird, as well. The fleet battle was very basic and uninspired.

As Maglok said, it looks like half of it was done in after effects and it has that overly done kind of shine to it that I really don't like.

I much preferred SgtHK's work that was done for the LoTC trailer over this, and his work in general.

I think its talking about SC Legacy site.

What does it matter, seriously? 'Done in after effects' means nothing to me. After as opposed to initial?

Is there actually a point during the creation of cinematics where you're no longer allowed to touch up your work?

The point is that it looks overdone.
